Simon began his career in film as an Assistant Director on major feature films - including Tim Burton's 'Corpse Bride', 'Harry Potter' and 'The Water Giant' – as well as working on commercials and music videos for global brands such as Coca Cola, BMW, Loreal, Virgin, Sony, Coldplay, and The Streets.
Wanting to make a difference through his work by showing people worlds outside of their own, Simon moved into documentaries in 2005. His film 'The Last Freak Show' was commissioned by Channel 4 - the largest commercial network in the UK - and was met with profound critical acclaim. It went on to win awards across the globe, including Best Documentary and Best Director at the Chashama Film Festival in New York and is still touring the festival circuit.
Over the years he's filmed the lives of sideshow freaks, gone undercover with neo-Nazis and undergone strange shamanic rituals in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. His job has led him to some very weird places. And he's loved every minute of it.
